LANDRAKE BRITISH MASTERS May 16, 2008

Hello once again it was the Masters. We traveld 1058 km round trip 657 miles from Yorkshire to Cornwall. It was a great weekend the weather was perfect also the track was in top condition. I went out in qualification second was good enough for me to get the gate pick that i wanted. First race was a bit of a bad one i did not get the start and was 18th on the first lap but as the race went on i made good progress to get to fifth. Second race i had a better start and had a good solid third place. Sunday race one was aso a good one getting a third place. I was now set up for the podium if i could just get a top five place, but that was not to be i had a good start but on lap two when making a pass i stalled the bike it was some time before i got it going again then i was pushing too hard and came off twice, not good on my part but i had a finninish in twentieth place and a fith overall for the weekend putting me in third overall in the champoiship by one point. Its going to be intresting over the next four rounds to see who will be more consistent towards the end of the year. one thing i am looking forward to are the two sand tracks Hawkeston & Leaisure Lakes I LOVE THE SAND And i know some of the other riders are not so keen so maybe i can pick up some points. Any way thanks to all my sponsors and my Dad for driving me to Carnwall and back See you at the Races Alex #227

British Masters April 23, 2008

This has to be one of my fave tracks its in the lake District just near Workington.
Any way i had a great weekend the racing was great apart from i got some mega blisters this was due to leaving the standard grips on my new bike my choice and i payed for it it probobly cost me a podium my hand where cut to shreds blood in my golves and on the grips too.The result was i had a fouth overall joint but my last race was a fifth and the guy in front had the fourth never mind i will get it next time. Looking forward to the next round at Landrake Cornwall 325 miles from our house its going to take about seven hours to get thair but i will be ready for it you can bet on that.

BRITISH MASTERS CULHAM March 19, 2008

We had a good first race then it went a bit pear shaped as the rain came down but i acctually enjoy the wet so i was ready for it.Pushing for third place i actualy ran over the rider in front of me when he came off this put me back 2 laps. I was hurting in the wedding tackle area also my left side i think i got myself tangeld up in his back wheel or something, god it hurt like hell. But i got up and had a bash i was 3 laps down on the leaders so just concentrated on the track which was by this time just a mess with ruts 2 ft deep any way i made may way back to 26th not ideal but at least i got some points. Sunday was a wash out it raind hard all night and the meeting was canceld. Next one is Dean Moore one of my fave tracks so it will be fun.

SX 02 LONDON February 25, 2008

Well it was the last round of the ACU Future West British Super Cross Championship on the 23.2.08.

I did the job in my heat and qualified for the final. The final was awsome i got the hole shot and lead for 1 lap keeping my cool then i was passed on the the tripple to put me into second i decided that i was going to stay focused and concentrate on the track this is what i did and i returned to the lead on the second to last lap holding this for half a lap then i was block passed by Carl Jones #48 and after that i decided to take it easy to come home in second. It was a great weekend and i would like to say a big thanks to all my supporters on the night for cheering me on.

see you soon #227 ALEX

LIVERPOOL SX January 30, 2008

What a blast Friday was great i did the biz and made the final in the clubman open and had a second place first time i have been interveiwed by any one i was more nervous that being on the start line. Mr burnickal was a cool guy and he made me feel ok. but i must say a big sorry to my sponsors i was that pumped up that i forgot to say my thanks to every one for helping me out. I wont forget next time i am on the podium. Saturday was cool i did the same again made the final. I had a great start and maintaind 3rd place for 3 laps then disater i did the double into one of the tight corners and went over the bars. This put me out of the running as it was some time before i could get the bike running, but never mind it was a good weekend, i made it to both open pro finals and managed to stay on the bike to have two 10th places, even though i was laped 4 times by the top 5 pro riders it has given me confidence to line up with the top riders.

Thanks MX Motorhomes,Moto Shack,On Fire,Dunlop & Computer Heros for your support.

NOT LONG January 15, 2008

Not long now 12 weeks before my first race at Culham in the British Masters, i am looking forward to this with the new format of 4 races over the 2 days it should be intresting to see how many new riders will be taking part.

Training has been a bit slow on the bike due to the bad weather but i am going to Belgium in February for 5 days so this will help with the sand riding. Gym work is good i have a new personal trainer and he is working me hard and i must say my fittness is well good.

Having another go at SX this month so that will be a welcome change from out door tracks.

I have been doing some coaching as well, thats is going ok with good feed back from the riders enjoying it.

see you at the races

SHEFFIELD SX November 5, 2007

Well it went ok in the heats on Saturday afternoon qualified in my first heat in the Clubman open. The night was looking great until i went out in the open pro. My good i got the biggest shock thease boys are fast and i mean fast. Any way i did the heat and the last chance did not ride my best and as expected did not get into the main event. The main event for the clubman open was a disaster being taken out in the second turn after the whoop section put me in last place, picking myself up i could not get going as i did in the heat race and just concentrated on getting round and finnishing the race.

No excuses but its a big differance to racing moto x, and i just was not good enough on the night but i will be up for it at the next rounds,Liverpool 25/26 January.

One possative thing that came out of the whole thing is that the young rider i have been helping out actually qualified for his main event well done Lewis i am proud of you. see you at the races #227 Alex.
